A Refuge.

One day long years
ago, God looked down from the sky.
The scene He saw was ill indeed, it caused His heart to
sigh.
'The man I made so fair, has strayed away from me.
His heart is full of evil thoughts, he walks in Satan's
ways.'
But to God's heart came joy, for one spot there was
bright.
He saw on earth a man called Noah, and lo, his heart was
right.
He worshipped God alone, and trained his children well.
A refuge sure, God now would find, for him 'ere judgement
fell.
God said to him, 'Up build an ark, pitch it without
within.
Start now to do this thing for me, for I must punish
sin.'
Dear Noah he did make haste, to do this thing and bring,
Those God had told him, safe inside. And God then shut
them in.
The seas came rolling in. In torrents, the rain did fall.
Those safe secure, who inside were, those outside
perished all.
The more the raging waters rose, the higher the Ark did
rise.
The flood that judged the godless ones, bore others to
the skies.
The Ark is but a type of Christ, Who by His death of
shame,
Upon the cross, God's judgement bore. All glory to His
Name.
Oh flee to Him for shelter now, and refuge find today.
His blood will shelter all who come, HE is the only way.
